Wavi Africa Ltd ("Wavi", "we", "us") provides communication infrastructure - SMS, Email and WhatsApp messaging - to businesses operating in Africa. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we handle it.
What we collect
- Account information: name, email, company, billing details.
- Message metadata: sender, recipient, timestamps, delivery status - required to route and bill messages.
- Website analytics: aggregated page views and referrers. No third-party ad tracking.
How we use it
- To deliver the messages you asked us to send.
- To bill your account and prevent abuse.
- To reach out to you about your account and product changes.
Data retention
We retain message metadata for 12 months for billing and compliance, then delete or anonymize it. Message content is retained only as long as needed for delivery and support.
